I found this nose cone today. It is BT-50/24mm. It is similar to a PNC-50Y but had groves. I've looked in an Estes nose cone reference document as well as old Estes parts catalogs but didn't see it. Any ideas as to part number or what rocket this may have come from?

Are you sure it's not bt55, goes to the Red Rider?

If it's the newer ( current ) issue, it probably weighs a fair bit relative to other cones in the same neighborhood.

This nose cone is used on the Estes Shattered (#2439) E2X model.

It's also used, with a cap installed to which you tie the shock cord/chute, in the ARF Solaris.
