My wife is getting a fin cutting jig for me for Christmas; it is the one featured in this video from Apogee Components:

Could someone recommend a router that I could use on this jig?

Bosch 1617evs, its one of the most popular woodworkers routers and many accessories are available for it. I have one and have had excellent service from it for about 10 years and its still going. For tools like routers, most saws, and grinders I usually recommend corded. If you want a smaller router the Bosch Colt type is an excellent tool and its popular for use with DIY CNC setups and some commercial CNC router setups.

A month or so back, my old route quit. At the time, Sears had the craftsman top end digital router for $119 I think. It’s really nice with plenty of power and control for just about anything. The soft start is really cool too! https://m.sears.com/craftsman-14-am...zw&gclsrc=ds&dclid=CN2Sg4eMntgCFY2LaQodNMMGmg

With the current state of sears, they are not my 1st choice for power tools, but this one seemed to be near best in class for way less than comparable models.
