Great sale but it's torture! I've wanted a Aerobee D for a while now and that is a great price. But, I need a 29/180 case and motor more. Really want to gain my level one at the October launch. It's a birthday gift to myself (Oct 22d). Too bad the case isn't 40% off too; maybe I could swing the both of them

Interestingly, the last time I looked (this a.m.) the G-Force is listed at 10% off list, while virtually every other kit is at the 40% discount. 40% off the G-Force might be tempting enough to make me think about getting it. But a mega initiator at $119 is also pretty tempting too!
Be sure to check what is "out of stock" on their page. You have to hover over it to see.
They've gone out of stock now, but I'm pretty sure they were available when the sale started on Saturday. The prices I was seeing for both is the same as when the sale started. Considering the volume of kits I currently have, I was very much on the fence as the weather or not I was ever going to grab one of these. Already have the astrobee and arcas...
A shame you missed out @Bruiser. It's a great kit... Mine however dates back to 1996 when I bought it... So it wasn't me
Not me. I bought an Initiator. I finally broke down and bought a RMS drilling tool for $23. I was borrowing other's but they either didn't bring it with them or it was older than dirt.

I will have one some day. I was researching the kit over the weekend and I stumbled upon an old thread I had forgotten about. It was started by me to ask about using this kit as a first DD rocket. Funny, because that's what I was researching this weekend too!
Good news is that by not spending my budget on the Aerobee D, I was able to order an Aerotech 29/180 case and a H128W motor so I can L1 cert on the 19th.

I succumbed to a Sumo at about $60+ off list price. I noticed the G-Force discount was only about 10%, but it was sold out by the time I got there. I am propably better off!
