Broken Fin Repair

At LDRS, my upscale Onyx hit a little hard and cracked a fin.

1/16" G-10 fin, attached is a pic of the crack.

How should I fix this? It's not as easy as say a chip or a crack near the tip, it's kinda right through the middle of the fin...

This is going to be my EX motor test rocket, should fly this month on a few Tiger Tails and a Sparky load, but I won't go into detail.

I've never had this problem but my best guess is to scuff the fin, and then fibreglass it. Don't know how well it will work though. Might as well take off all the paint with sandpaper and fibreglass the fins with one layer tip to tip. Try 2oz cloth
