Boosted Darts?

Anyone still doing this? I remember it being popular in the 70's.

Built a 1/6 scale Nike Apache kit from Cosmodrome Rocketry. Modified it a bit for two stage. Flew it once as a boosted dart with two sets of recovery electronics.

This is part of my path to the half-scale Nike Apache which is a full two-stage unit.

I tried nearly the same at 1/5.5 scale. But didn't get the planned boosted dart - it didn't separate.

I have seen boosted dart flights at Bong. Seems like a couple a year.
