I'm currently working on a RIM-2 Terrier design that will have a 29/40-120 casing for the booster and a Estes E series sustainer ignited by Perfectflites mini timer3. It'll be 51.39 in in length and 2.61 dia (booster) at a scale of 1:6.3. What I need to know is can I build the booster from a Aerotech or LOC body tube and then build the sustainer from an Red Arrow BT21. Will this sustain the flight pressures from the 29mm.

I have no experience with Red Arrow BT's but the Aerotech and LOC tubes will do just fine.

Terrier, I don't forsee that you will have any problems at all using the Red Arrow Hobbies tubing. I don't imagine it is of lesser quality than an Estes tube. Just make certain the other components (ie - rings/fins) are made of something other than balsa. Sounds like you have a fairly exciting project brewing. Be sure and post some pictures!
