I'm no Steampunker by a long shot, nor do I personally have any ambition to build this particular design, but I thought one of you might. I saw this pic in a Netflix movie and it caught my eye. I did a "print screen" and took a close up look to see what it was. Then I did a Google search for it and found an image with the details clearly marked. I'm fairly certain it's just a piece of art and not really a kit of sorts. But it looked like something one of you scratch builders with some Steampunk and or retro design ambition might appreciate. Any takers?

Titanium carbonate........riiiiight

I was going to make fun of it, but I decided it would be more entertaining to start calling steel "iron carbonate" and watch folks flip their lids

The artist's Intergalactic Cruiser looks like an easier build

Now I am curious about the Netflix movie in which the print appeared?

Oooh...likey likey. But it's loaded with chute snatchers also. Nice find btw. As far as the series I was watching, it escapes me at the moment, but I will remember and post it when I do.

PLEASE DO!! :)

Hmmn, now that Intergalactic Star Cruiser looks like quite the ship...

SNRKL, I wanna say it was in one of the "Originals" episodes. But I can't be proof positive. I snatched the pic back in July and that might fit the time frame. But the "Originals" was a series, not a movie. If you like vampire shows, it's worth watching.

If I were building the Blue Quasar, I think I'd start with a Nerf football.

jlabrasca & snrkl, I stand corrected. I just figured out how to see my viewing list on Netflix and the movie that pic came from was Season 1 of "The Following" A Kevin Bacon movie. Not too bad. I gave it a thumbs up.

Thx. Think I watched the first two or three episodes of that show. Honestly, all of the "edgy" and "transgressive" shows kind run together in my head these days.

Its kind of interesting how he's drawn the longitudinal seams between the panels offset at the riveted band (on the Quasar). If I were thinking about building one, I might try building it as it is drawn; milling forms over which/into which to mold kydex panels. I don't want to build it, though.

Me either. My option would be to turn the entire airframe and use plywood fins on it. Since I wouldn't wanna fiddle with all that steampunking detail, there would also be a great lot of nose weight involved. Might make a nice paper weight. Or one of those un-flyable shelf queens that just looks nifty.
