There`s a difference between a Big Bertha and a Baby Bertha.:pop: 1. The Big Bertha is bigger than a Baby Bertha.:gavel: 2. The Big Bertha is bigger in diameter. 3. The Baby Bertha is smaller than the Big Bertha.:) These are the 3 reasons about the differences between the Big Bertha and the Baby Bertha.:2: Hobbylinc.com

??????? What's the point of this thread?

BTW, point 2 above is incorrect. Both Big Bertha and Baby Bertha use the same size body tube.

In my best Meatloaf impersonation... "cause 2 out of 3 ain't baaaaaaad" :D

According to Hobbylinc,
The Big Bertha is bigger than Baby Bertha. (24 in vs 12.75 in)
They have the same diameter body tube. (1.64 in)

Did I miss something? Their info appears to be correct to me...

Hobbylinc is right. The Big Bertha does really well with a 24mm conversion too.

I have to ask the same question as BEC; What's the point of this thred? We just randomly stating facts here? Don't mean to sound like a twit but.......:confused2:

So I just went back and re-read the "Rules and Guidelines" thread. There is nothing in there at all about a thread needing to have a "point"....

Rock On :headbang:

Of course it doesn't say anything about asking "What is the point of this..." either so I guess we're all good :cyclops:

Point 2. is wrong as noted but points 1. and 3. are...the same only backwards.

Actually the fins on the Baby Bertha are different than the Big Bertha

The motor mounts are similar but the Big Bertha has a longer stuffing tube.

The Big Bertha has been around a lot longer and has had several different factory paint schemes.

The Big Bertha uses a bigger parachute than the Baby Berthas...'cause it's bigger.;)

The Big Bertha uses a longer launch lug.

Guys, did I miss anything.

Oh, yea! The Big Bertha cost more than the Baby Bertha (retail) 'cause it's bigger.

How about that the Big Bertha is based on the 3 motor cluster/payload model, the Astron Ranger?

OK, but then you can add, that the Baby Bertha is based on the Big Bertha which was based on the 3 motor cluster/payload model, the Astron Ranger.:D

And don't forget the Baby's older brother, the Rascal.

For some reason, I really like that name. :D

And you better not forget the little dwarf that could the lil estes mosquito

There something else that is different......
Technically rockets can't really have babies.
So there is no real Baby Bertha. Daughter of Big Bertha.
But if rockets could have babies who would the Father Be?
But who would be the father of Baby Bertha?
Maybe Der Red Max?
Or the V-2?
Who actually cut that shock cord?
