Ironically, this thread was initiated from ANOTHER thread where the idea of forward swept rear fin edges was raised for precisely that purpose.

This mod to a normally safe and sound Big Bertha is really scaring me. Yikes! Fin flipping is so naughty. Run, duck and cover! Don't poke your eye out.. Naughty, naughty boys! Go to your room and play in safety with your old Tinker Toys. No more rockets until you grow up!

When I read backwards I thought upside down. As in the fins and nose cone reversed.

The Estes Big Bertha looks cool with the fins reversed. I would be afraid to try it because of stability issues. Have you flown it yet?
