Lately, I've been building my rockets colored purely by colored paper. The color is super uniform and if desired, I can print a pattern with the ink jet. I started doing this as I discovered my love of papering. This also works in winter.
Having a bit of trouble on the final step. I have a can of water based brushed polyurethane. The trouble is that I see brushed strokes. Is there a better way to apply to minimize brush strokes?
I found a can of automotive clear and warmed it up in the house and put 2 heating pads in a cardboard box in the garage. Unfortunately, after spraying the rocket outside, places where the yellow paper was not sealed with white glue, the paper changed color (to a wet orange). I don't think the water based polyurethane would have done that. The box is above freezing now (barely) so i will how long it takes to cure. Is there a better way?
