They're going to be doing a lot of pad checkout tests, mating dummy payloads, fueling/defueling, etc.

What's cool is that those aren't solid strap-ons, they're the same liquid booster as in the center.

It is a beauty isn't it!
But only if it augments the Shuttle rather than replaces it.
It looks to be more of a space taxi than a space truck.
I would sure love to see it fly anyway!

Does it make sense to anyone else that if they can strap on two Common Core Boosters to the outside of the central one, they could strap on four, or six? A seven CCB Delta IV... we'd feel that in Vancouver.
