What battery is best for the T3, a 1s or a 2s lipo?
Thanks for your help.

Not sure why Jim recommends 1S. I’ve always used 2S 500 mah. Can use for multiple flights in one day.

Same here. 1S and no issues. I've only ever done two fights in one day without recharging. I set mine up to be easy to recharge between flights, both transmitter and receiver.

A 1S battery is recommended to minimize the voltage drop across the T3's LDO linear regulators. A 2S battery will work, however, the voltage drop increases across the LDO when used, manifesting in the form of heat (so they will run hot).

This is especially so for the T3 Transmitter, as it's much more current intensive than the receiver.
Receivers require much smaller operating current and will run cooler.

I use 1S gum stick batteries for both, no issues on multiple flights per day. I'm using it tomorrow actually on two flights.
