Bad Boy Rocketry Rocks. Just sayin'

There was a thread in September '23, now closed, asking about the legitimacy of @Bad Boy Rocketry. He threatened to leave TRF, and seems he has...Here is hoping this thread will bring him back...maybe he will even become a sponsor.

I'd like to share my experience with Bad Boy, Jim (the owner) and his rockets.

I've purchased the 1x EAC Viper (https://www.ebay.com/itm/326077574048), 2x EAC Viper (https://www.ebay.com/itm/326004391104) and Estes Super Vega Clone (https://www.ebay.com/itm/326018083704). My experience:

1. His orders are shipped on time and come quickly.
2. The quality is top notch. There are no parts that need to be replaced, everything fits, and require normal finishing.
3. He has always responded to my inquiries within a few hours; personally.
4. I biffed a couple of the stickers and Jim replaced them without charging me.
5. I created a Rocksim of the Vega so I could explore motors (Jim has flown and recommends the E9/E12s, I'd like more selection). The actual CG came in very aft, to the point it was unstable. I asked Jim about it and shared pictures and the rocksim. HE ENDED UP BUILDING A NEW ROCKSIM LAST NIGHT, JUST TO VALIDATE THE CP/CG OF HIS MODEL. In the end, I had entered a 6.75" NC, not the 8" in the kit, making my CG aft. What vender here goes and builds a rocksim to help a customer?
6. I've only flown the Viper and it is SWEET...and my favorite at the moment...can't wait to try the Vega.

I purchased the Upscale Yellow Jacket today (https://www.ebay.com/itm/325975464863). I didn't do a build thread on the Vega (I should have), I will do a build thread on the Yellow Jacket.

I've placed a couple of orders from him, and have had nothing but great communications and prompt shipping. I believe he is still here, just not active posting, because I sent him a question over DM about a month ago prior to my first order.

I have bought a bunch of plywood upgrade kits for kits from the big name manufacturer that is still lost in the 60s. Always shipped in a timely fashion, impeccable fit and a cool sticker. BBR is good stuff.

I second (3rd? 4th? 5th??) the recommendation for BBR. I've bought his Ventris clone, his upscaled Bull Pup, and parts to clone (ish) the quad-24mm Pro Patriot. I've phone the upscale bull pup a number of times now, and had nothing but solid flights off of that big guy. Looking forward to sending the Ventris and the Patriot up some time soon. Definitely a "buy with confidence" vote from me.
Sadly I don't have his Super Vega parts, and it looks like they're not on ebay at the moment. Will have to keep an eye out next year to see if they crop up.

Just the fin can/motor mount assembly, but yep there's one there. It's not a true clone (The Patriot Pro had a lot of additional steps and parts) but more like an upscale of the smaller Patriot with the simplified fins and no boat tail, but with a quad motor. Mine is built, just waiting on a wild hare to go paint it.

I just recently saw that Bad Boy has the four cluster motor mount for 3" body tubes and that got me to wondering if it was designed for their Patriot clone so I went and took a closer look at their Patriot. I had seen it before and never realized it didn't have a boat tail.

Any chance of the QCC upscale returning? I still have a PDF of a 3” upscale fin set that I had planned on cutting out somehow but the parts are too long for my friend’s little laser
