Fun was had by all. We even had a Dude on the premises. It was very cool. 70 degree weather and 2-5 mph winds - perfect. Well, I will let each of the members tell about their launches... The pics kinda speak for themselves:

Mark,
there is a great pic of the Diablo.

Ken,
there is a great pic of your Pico jet.

All,
there is several pictures of our "visitors". In one pic my camera actually stopped the helicopter blades!!! Very cool.

I was meaning to mention that myself...Phil, you can crop these pics in minutes down to 30-40k each and they will fit the screen and download much faster. Some people I am sure only have 56k modems, which makes it hard to view. If you need help, let me know.

Well, I have toyed around with that for awhile. I take the pictures that size so they can easily be produced by ShutterFly or any other printing service. I keep them on my home server and it works out great. Only problem is the download time people have. I'm running on a DSL line but not everyone is. If I have to create a second picture and keep both, well, I'm not sure I want to do that. Ever since i have bought my Canon, I have taken 1100 pictures of rocketry. If I had to create a second picture for each one I take, I will spend most of my time making them smaller. I'm sorry, but that is just me... If you can think of an idea that would help me speed up the process I would gladly entertain it. How about if I put a zip file in the directory of all the pics???

It shouldn't take you long to reduce the pixel size of the photos either by a percentage or to a specific pixel dimension. Maybe 30 or 40 seconds per picture, and then you're looking at a maximum of 75K for each image file [save as progressive *.jpg].

I'm on a 28.8K connection, which is the ONLY connection I can get in my part of the country. 500K files take nearly 3 minutes to load. When they do load, the entire image cannot be viewed on a maximzed browser window at a resolution of 1024x768 [the best my computer will do].

A *.zip file isn't going to do any good since a *.jpg is pretty much fully compressed data to begin with.

I would be more than happy to help with the conversion. I just resized them all in under 3 minutes...took longer to DL than to fix. Let me know if that is ok by you Phil.

Here they are:

Ahhhh... much better. Now if we could get Phil to take some time to explain them. :D

I have no problem with it Carl. What tool did you use to resize them by a percentage? I guess I can start doing them and zip the full pic for archival.
