Whats up guys? Haven't been into my rockets in about 10 years. Just a lot of BS in my life. But I have about $2500 worth of stuff, I just can't get to it for some time. So for now, I'm gonna raid hobby lobby 2morrow and pick some small things up and a Alpha 3 launch kit. Whats new in the world of rockets since 2013!? Besides some of the prices...lol.

Welcome! 3d printing has made it's way into rocketry. Maybe not the entire rocket, but parts, fin jigs, electronic payload bays... Jolly logic chute release is good to use on small fields...

Hey guys! Last Monday I went and bought a few things at Hobby Lobby until I get my other stuff. But gotna Alpha 3 launch kit for $20, and some other supplies along with a Tigres. Well, had 5 good launches and lost the Alpha 3. So I'm gonna go down to hobby lobby again, and pick up a few more rockets, a few that are more than snap together too.

Is the Fairgrounds still there ? Might be worth an inquiry, that space could support LPR if not some low and slow mid-power?

Yeah it is, not far from there too is Streater field, its an old farm they turned into public land. Id feel comfortable launching my MPR rockets there up to the Aerotech G-Force. So I can launch there no problem, the thing is right now I'm about 30 miles away, staying somewhere until I can move back into my house in a few months. So the best place over here in Milton is the high school. And lost an Alpha III on a B4-4..But changing the parachutes a bit, gonna see how they fall now..

Change to a streamer for that puppy on small fields. Or reef the chute and turn it into a streamer.

Done. Did that too all of my chutes so far. Should make a huge diff. My Alpha on the B4-4 took forever coming down, and changed directions about 40 times during the 600 feet it flew to land on a school roof, if I haven't posted that yet, lol!!

Oh man I got rid of that back in 2012, right after I got hurt at UPS. Just a 86 mustang with a 408w. Had AFR heads, was efi at first. Then after about $25k later I decided to not spend any more money on it, so sold the efi stuff in 2010 or so, and went carb. I had some issue with the crank or cam that it wasn't ground right, or the timing gears were off(but I tried several sets). It just wouldn't run right. Had one of the first Tremendous TKO 600's, even tho they were talked up at the time before release nobody really tried one. I liked it, just need the upgrades they offered later. That was in 2004, I bought most of the parts and what in 2003, then did the 408w/tremec swap in Sept 2004. Over the next few years got had and sold a FAST XFI, then had the rear straightened and welded, 9" ends out on with then 31 spline Moser axles, Detroit trutrac diff, Team-Z suspension. Just a bunch of stuff. After going carb then, and it still having the run issue I just said screw it and part it out. I really did pull my hair out, along with friends. And then in 2012 I bought a 89 from a friend I worked with that UPS. Took the Texas to him, he swapped the engine out in it for a stock one, when he did that I had him put my trans and bell in. Had a McLeod bell, but it was heavy, ended up going with a Lakewood blow proof bell, much lighter and physically smaller. But then bought some AFR Heads for the 89 302ci, custom cam, TFS-Box intake, longtube headers, etc..Basically mirrored my 408w when I first built it in 2004, had the TFS Box-R in that, wouldn't clear a 4" cowl hood on a 86 GT. But swapped all from the white 89, to the 86, and vise versa. Then sold the 86 body for $500. And built the 89 LX with the 308w in the summer of 2015, then had to sell it in 2016. It fired right up the first time I hit the key, after years of trying to get that 408w to run right U knew how to set it up, lol. Along with my 2006 CBR1000RR. So thats about it, I'll post some pics, but I don't have many left of them..

Here's more, the 86 is grey with the 408w, the 89 was white with a 308w. The close up engine pic is the 408w with an elbow and a 90mm Accufab, thats the last EFI setup b4 I went to the carb. And the last is a screenshot of the 89 LX, and that engine and the rear pics when I built that.

That had to be a ton of fun to drive with the Tremec 6 speed. Thanks for sharing all the information.

Like I said the 408w didn't run for crap, lol. Myslef and fellow Ford and non-Ford guys couldn't figure it out. But after it was in the 89lx, I loved it. Still needed some free upgrades for 3rd gear, and a few other things it could have had done by Bob Hanlon, but I sold it to some guy in TN in 2016. He saw it on corral.net, and drove to get it. I've tried to contact him, to see what happened to it. But anyway I've tried he never answered, even the phone. Wish I still had it, the few weeks I drove it was a blast. It moved good with just 450hp, a 5 speed, and 4.10 gears.
