Automatic Bed Leveling on a Creality

We installed a couple of these 3D Touch sensors on our Creality printers recently at work. According to the Mech guys this makes the printers almost effortless to use and is a worthy improvement on the basic printer.

Before the print commences the head does a survey of the heights around the bed. You can specify how many points are taken. We use a 6x6 matrix on the larger CR-10S, and a 4x4 on the smaller bed. These heights are then used to interpolate the shape of the baseplate and fine-tune the filament deposition. This really helps with getting the first layer down right every time. I will compensate for tilt, sag and twist :).
