I want to attach a GPS tracker in a Labrat sled to a nose cone. Do I attached it directly or should I add a tether to the GPS then attach to the nose cone?
Please advise, Thx

Attach it directly. A backup tether is okay, but it’s best to have the GPS receiver not loose in the nosecone.I want to attach a GPS tracker in a Labrat sled to a nose cone. Do I attached it directly or should I add a tether to the GPS then attach to the nose cone?

I will be using the shock cord mounting system.Perhaps a little more detail! Which LabRat sled are you using? Is it the one that installs inside a nosecone bay, or is it intended as an external sled?
These NC bay kits are great. I have them installed in all my MP & HP NCs. I do use use the LabRat sleds with them for my EF & FW trackers, though.Check out https://macperformancerocketry.com/collections/nosecone-bay-kits
Then use a foam tube to hold GPS in there, no sled needed.
This is what I will be using when K.A.T.E becomes available
I would love one of these for my fiberglass Jart. Sadly they don't make one for a 2.12" cone.
I gotta similar setup in my 54mm Mach 2View attachment 579839This is what I do, except in this picture the eggfinder is not yet attached.
