Atomic Blast build

Here is the start of Atomic Blast. Was needing something in between 1.64" and 4" to fly, so went with 2.63" dia and 55" tall with a 29mm motor mount. Wanted it to be able to fly on G motors but also fly on a I200 and had to be dual deployment. This is what I have come up with.

Got motor mount and ebay all glued up.

Had a little time between meetings , so got the slots cut and motor mount installed.

Got the fins on tonight. Fillets next.

First set of fillets done.

Got the ebay and upper tube connected. Got all the hole drilled for the ebay. Next is laying out the electronics.

Finally got a chance to fly this thing. Flight was great on a G138T. The landing was a problem as it is now in the top of 60' high tree.

Congratulations. Beautiful flight. Great to have a low-cost, DD, "frequent flyer" in the fleet, isn't it? I think mid-power and low impulse HPR is the most fun you can have in rocketry. We make too big a thing out of flying the big stuff.
