I just saw this motor listed on Wildman Rocketry as well as a G61 load for it. Thinking it might be a mistake I poked around. Red Arrow also lists this motor (though no loads for it). AT doesn't list it on their site.

Did I just lose the neuron that recorded the AT 38/120 motor, or is this an entirely new beast?

Ah. Performance lists it as "new" on their front page, as well as the G61 load. Good. That's one brain cell I don't have to worry about.

Uses the same closures as their larger 39mm motors.

They have been out for a while and have been discussed several times here on TRF. AT also came out with the 29/120 at the same sime, with the load being a G79.

It does exsist!
It is a 1 grain 38mm motor.
I currently have the casing on ROL Auctions.
The motor hardware &reloads were available at LDRS this year.

Ah. Yours says Dr. Rocket. The others said AT. Still other places say these same same ichi ban.

Yes, Dr R and AT are built to the same specs and are interchangeable. In fact when I bought my AT 29/120, I got a Dr R forward closure.
