I've taken a break from backing Kickstarter physical products, as most people wildly underestimate how long it will take, and how much it will cost resulting in either never getting the product, or getting a product that has taken significantly longer and is significantly worse than what you presented in the campaign. Digital products are a bit different. I've backed several campaigns selling 3d printable items, and all have produced, although not all in the timeframe promised.

I found this one really interesting

I've backed it, and am unaffiliated in any way to the creator.

Complete Set of 3D printable STL Files

It can be printed as individual parts or as a solid composite.

Can be 3D Printed Full Size 82"x33"x7"

When printed full scale, it measures a massive 82" wide, 33" tall, and 7" deep, all representing that same vision of teamwork, peaceful exploration, engineering accomplishment, and pioneering spirit.

All of that accomplishment you can now display with pride on any wall in your home or office. As people look outward once again, our sights set on returning to the Moon and a colony on Mars, to the strange places that lie on the far edges of the Milky Way, you can know what may seem outlandish today will become history to the generations that follow.

Meticulously Recreated From Original Blueprints.

Meticulously recreated from original blueprints and verified by 3D scans from the Smithsonian Museum, this highly accurate set of 3D models is as close as one can get to the original without sitting in the actual Command Module.

Over 500 hundred hours were invested modeling the most delicate details.

Holy smokes! But the funding was unsuccessful - Too bad, it is actually one of the most incredible things I've ever seen in this area. What is the fate of this project? I want to do a highly detailed static CM/SM/LM build sometime.

The founder of the Kickstarter is looking to sell a 50% scale version. He is very reluctant (which I understand) to just sell a few STL kits and have them wind up in the wild out of their control. They've put a significant amount of time and money into this.

I'll bet! That is a LOT of very detailed, high quality "reverse engineering"! I wish he'd have met his goal... And yes, I'd be EXTREMELY happy if he'd make a 1/32 scale version... now mind you, I intend to follow the lead of Vincent Meens in my 1/32 construction, but the Shapeways parts are very expensive, and I'll bet this instrument panel would exceed even his in its quality...

I wonder if there is anything we could do to help the fellow out at this point? I've emailed him. The solid model files from which the STL's are generated are a legacy that should somehow be preserved, as they can generate manufacturing output to any desired scale. STL files, to my understanding, need some work to be re-scaled.
