A recent article in online manufacturing newsletter got me started on this project. The APKWS (Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System) adds a laser guidance unit to a standard 2.75" rocket. The guidance unit can be installed between the warhead and rocket motor of existing standard unguided rockets. I did the 3D design work in Sketchup and 2D in AutoCAD. I tested the flight characteristics with OpenRocket. The body is a T50 and the finished model will be about 26" long. The image is the 3D model exported from Sketchup. I have started 3D printing some of the parts while waiting for the remainder of materials to arrive.

Some of the 3D printed parts. Nose cone, fuze, shoulder and canards. Printed on a Flashforge Creator Pro with PLA filament. The one canard is still on the raft and support structure.
