Anyone know if CTI is still offering cert discounts on cases and/or motors?

Not all dealers are offering the special. I have recently confirmed that it is still being offered by Gary at Off We Go Rocketry, https://www.offwegorocketry.com. Apogee is not currently offering the special, see https://www.apogeerockets.com/Rocket_Motors/Cesaroni_Propellant_Kits/Cesaroni_Certification_Special.

If you buy online and have it shipped, don't forget that, since an L1 case is only about $30, you don't really come out ahead because of hazmat shipping. You're better off buying from your local dealer, even if he is not offering the special. L2 cases are more expensive so you may come out ahead if you get, for example, a 38mm 6XL or a 54mm 3 grain. You can save a substantial sum if you are bold enough to do your L2 cert flight on a big K motor and get a free 54mm 5 or 6 grain case.

... and that's exactly what I was planing to do, at least a 54mm 3 grain case.

Thanks

A P54-6GXL L935 or P75-5G L1685 would be really fun for an L2 cert (with a free case, of course).

It certainly would, but I can't afford that much fun :)

Although my L2 could fly it.
I wish I’d taken advantage of the CTI deal for my L1 & L2. I have a full set of their 24, 29 & 38mm cases now. That would have been a little cheaper with the deal. The single use AT J270 from my local dealer was just too tempting at the time.

Animal Motors was still offering it a couple of weeks ago, I used it for my L1. Bought a 4g 29mm load, got the 4g case free, and bought the 29mm starter kit.

Interesting - I am planning a L2 attempt in a few months and am eyeing a CTI load for it, would definitely sweeten the pot.
