My last 3 orders (at least) from erockets have arrived crushed or damaged, now culminating in the damage seen below. I don't nkow if their shipper is the issue, or if my local post office is stamping on boxes, but I haven't had any other packages destroyed, just the ones from erockets.

The other two were an oder of a LOC Athena, which I salvaged by building a coupler out a pringles can and gluing that in to strengthen the tube, and a 2.6" LOC Sandhawk, which I also saved by cutting the tube at the damaged area, gluing in a coupler and then rejoining the tube. I'm not sure I can salvage this damage however, but we'll see. I was planning to build a BT-70 "Corkscrew" style rocket. FYI the box was so damaged I also lost parts of my order. Literally looks like someone was stomping on the box.

Is anybody else having problems or is my local post office pranking me to see if I go "postal"?

I had an order earlier this year that was fine. But it was much smaller than your stuff.

Sounds like the shipper is the problem.

But erockets is who you're doing business with, so you should tell them. They should make it right, and they need to know it's happening, and if they have insurance with the shipper, they need to make a claim.

I've purchased a few thousand dollars worth of rockets from them over the years and never had any issues! They're my favorite rocket shop for parts.

I've had this problem, but it was with items from two other different vendors this year.

One USPS and the other UPS. Tubes crushed even with double internal box reenforcement to keep that from happening. The two vendors made good on it with insurance claims from the photos I took of the box and crushed contents.

It didn't take a rocket scientist to see how they got damaged. They shipped me replacement items ASAP while they waited for the claims.

This is one of the reasons everything I ship is always insured.

Claims I have filed in the past from Items I have sold tend to take some time to collect. So it is nice to have a vendor make good ASAP while they wait for the claim to collect.

I have never had a problem or erockets. They have always packaged my stuff carefully and no damage was present, even with my larger orders. Sorry that you had a bad experience.

I had a broken scissor wing in shipping but Randy quickly fixed it. He recently mailed me the LOC-IV with no problem. Shipping was a lot cheaper than buying from LOC.

Then I found out there was a 15% sale on 10/30 a day after it was too late. Oh well. It was a good price on the LOC-IV but woulda bought something else.

Honestly, it's your shipper. Let Randy know you received damaged items.

Never had an issue with Erockets, not once

I've been in the eRockets warehouse/store while they pack up orders. Also saw the boxes getting picked up by USPS. Didn't see any issues to that point in the process. It's certainly the carrier, but there could be another factor. Could shippers like erockets and other providers be using lighter boxes hoping to save on shipping costs? I wouldn't blame them. But if they receive more complaints and increasing replacement costs, they may go back to heavier boxes. So you definitely need to tell them so they know what's going on, and also so they have the opportunity to replace the items and keep the customer happy.

On a side note, Estes has that shipping insurance program. Only costs a couple dollars. I used it when USPS used my PSII Nike Smoke as a sitting stool. Quick response and replacement. Supposedly, you have to go through the USPS to get a busted box rectified which could take weeks.

I bought the Athena H using the Rewards program then noticed it didn't automatically include the insurance. I guess we'll find out how Estes handles it when the USPS uses the package as a soccer ball.
