Any good faux "glass" techniques?

Trying to make parts of opaque, painted nosecones and bodytubes look like glass cockpits and windows.

Wondered if you guys had any good tricks.

I just tried printing a decal I made from a photo of 747 windshield. is was "ok"

Try a cel-shaded / cartoon window gradient maybe?

You could try painting the cockpit area with a color (like black) then masking it and use additional paint to create the framework around the "windows". Removing the mask exposes the "glass"
