I used foam in the nosecone along with lead pellets to provide ballast and a section of BT5 so i have a spot to put the altimeter.

i plan on putting the vent holes just below the nosecone shoulder to allow for a proper reading on the altimeter.

the rocket is a BT55-based, 29mm MMT speed demon.
the sim says 730 mph on a G40, 820 mph on a G64, and a whopping 900 mph on a G80

problem there is that the G80 doesn't seem to ship with a 13-second delay...

here's the pic!

You're going for Mach, but still using a launch lug? Have you considered using rail buttons or even a pop-lug?

it seemed a bit silly to stick that big ol thing on the side...
it is designed to work with my existing launch equipment.
i can always remove the launch lug if it becomes a problem!

I love single use rockets! You could up the ante and go for a G79 with a 14 sec delay.

it's definitely a Black Rock launch vehicle...
i built it for an old G40-13 motor i have in my range box.

if i get it back, i'll see what they have around at the launch!

I've always been way to scared to use electronics or reloadables in near-machbusters like that. Just too small to see well and even with MDRA's nice fields, they are tough to get back! Now on a playa....
