AMW 38mm Hardware External End Margin

Does anyone have the end margin dimension (aft end of the case to aft end of the groove) for the external snap ring on an AMW 38mm "classic" case? I'm working on a retainer and I don't have the hardware set handy at the moment, and I want to make sure I leave enough clearance on the aft end of the motor. Thanks!

This is just using a tape measure but it looks like 3/8" to me.
