I don't know if you've noticed, but SpaceX doesn't use SRBs. And I'm completely in the wrong section for that even if anyone DID know about alternative binders. I never said I have help for paperwork, it would be a favor from a friend I, unfortunately, got interviewed on the same day as. Long story. If you have all this help at SpaceX for your paperwork, how come nobody has told you about binders???
Looks like total BS to me - I'm out.
I'll do my absolute best to separate myself from the company on this one. SpaceX doesn't officially sponsor or condone trying this at home.Realize that what you are starting as a project is going to leak out. That will have your bosses and your legal department asking you some hard questions. What you are doing will be seen as potential competition with their main business line. Or worse, reflect badly on the company (PR) or quite possibly cause the company legal i$$ue$. Other groups may have questions for you as well, depending.
I must have skipped over the part earlier where manned flight was being discussed. I only paid attention to the motor part. My bad. Manned raises the stakes. Really, the motor is a long ways down the list of things you would have to solve.
I typed a lot of stuff here over the last hour, but I've erased it.
Skipping what I erased, I'll just give you the bottom line as I see it. Your group as it stands from what you have said and the questions you have asked - and not asked - doesn't know what it is getting into. And we don't know you or your group.
Too much smells like trouble here. I think I'm going to the sideline. Sorry.

Is it "Dude, Acaicia " or "Dude Acaicia "?I'll do my absolute best to separate myself from the company on this one. SpaceX doesn't officially sponsor or condone trying this at home.
I've got a few years of R&D ahead of me if I can even DREAM of an unmanned test, much less a manned launch. To even do an unmanned test of that scale I'd need insurance, a few thousand dollars of whatever legal fees, a solid year of making my case to various government bodies. I myself am prepared and I believe everyone on my team is too.

Normally I'd offer to email you from my issued email but this post generated quite a bit of heat and I'd hate to get that leaked out and actually effect my job

Earlier this year SpaceX asked us for a quote on some SRBs similar to what you are talking about. Never heard from them again.

Ohnono I can afford the way the experts suggest, and I explicitly said I'll use an actual binder when the time comes. I also said what my end goal is and got pretty much the exact response I expectedSigns that a thread will go bad:
1) "I don't want to tell you what my end goal is..."
2) "I can't afford to do the way you experts suggested, but as I have no experience I think this way will work better..."
3) "I came here for advice, not to be lectured..."
I random click on that age at this point. If I really wanted to stay on this forum I would have actually spent time and NOT typed a random word for my username. My one problem with this whole thread is that he gets toting all his credentials yet his profile says he is 18 years old. A real SpaceX employee with a Top Secret clearance would NOT go bragging about it on a forum where he is talking about possibly doing illegal and extremely dangerous things.
I think everyone here has simply fallen for this troll and that this thread should be locked and maybe even deleted.
You would have to have a moderator do it.and I might even do that myself
No your are wrong......we do not expect a "professional" or someone who is in the industry to go to a Hobby forum...expectations are...another kid or naïve adult is trying to do too much....which is why Model Rocketry was invented. If you are a professional ask your co-workers, and other professional for help.. And now i read you are a retired USAF mission specialist......then JUST plain naïve.And I'm currently employed by SpaceX as a mission design engineer. Credentials don't mean anything. What your post SHOULD have said instead of blatantly disrespect is "Yeah we actually have a forum that's relatively hard to find unless you've been here a while, it's the research part and here's the link to apply"
If anything, your credentials should mean you are professional, not disrespectful.
I don't know of any professional forums, usually, professionals hire people of which I can't do at the moment. Like I said earlier, I'm not really in the "department" for solid rocket experts of which I don't know we have any. I came here for people who SPECIFICALLY work with solid motors. Guess I was wrong to do so.You would have to have a moderator do it.
