I got a small zipper in my LOC Minie Magg on it's last flight, maybe an inch long. I'm looking for options to do the repair. Simpler is better.

One idea would be to clean up the zipper and fiberglass the inside of the airframe where the zipper occurred. Yhe nose cone could easily be sanded down if needed. I would use an filler epoxy like RocketPoxy on the outside to fill in the gap in the airframe, then sand and repaint. Does that sound reasonable? If done this way, what weight of fiberglass cloth makes sense?

Other suggestions welcomed. I'm disinclined to slice off the top inch since it's short to begin with and adding a coupler and extension changes the character of it entirely. TIA.
