I recently reopened my gallon sized West Systems epoxy set & found that it has thickened up a bit.
I've heard people say that if it goes cloudy ( resin ) to pop it in the microwave , but don't believe in it.

Does anyone know if it degrades much after a year or 2?
Right now I'm in the middle of glassing my Big Nuke with Carbon & glass.

JD,

The microwave should work or just heat it.

Then cloudyness in the resin is just the formation of crystals. Heat will make them go away.

The hardener, when it gets old, does tend to turn reddish if it gets exposed to moisture (prolonged humidity can do it too!) but this does not seem to harm its strength...just makes it a little reddish.
