Aerotech RMS fail. What did I do wrong?!

I've used vaseline on o-rings a LOT! And have had zero issues with it. If you are using enough vaseline for it to melt and drip with temperature changes, you are using way to much lube, which will cause other problems.

I personally never used anything other than Super Lube but totally agree with you. Melt and drip, that is funny.

As Jim Scarpine said so well, the grease is just to aid the o-rings during assembly. Once that has been done the job of the grease as lubricant is complete until disassembly.
I have a friend who used spit. It worked just fine.
I don’t know the reason why this motor failed. There could be several reasons. Aerotech customer service can and will help though.
