Buyers like me should really read the details when purchasing motors. I recently purchased 4 G104T-M Aerotech RMS motors from Wildman and did not notice 100 Case only, not Wildman's fault Newb fault. With that being said, I have an Aerotech 40-120 case complete and a Aerotech 180 Complete is there anyway to get the G104T to work in these cases or should I just bite the bullet and buy the Aerotech 100 Case. The adapters for Aerotech are around 60 bucks, since I already have aft and forward enclosures should I just get a barebones 100 case. Opinions needed and wanted

Thanks
Mike

40-120 is no good. You could purchase either the 100 or ( I think ) the 29mm RAS

The RAS only has spacers between the normal sizes. If you look at the designations, most of the 29mm cases differ by 60 Ns. So you can use spacers to go from a 29/120 to a 29/60, or a 29/240 to a 29/120. The 29/100 doesn't fit that standard grain size, so you can't use the RAS to adapt to it. @AeroTech could probably make a spacer to adapt to the 29/100, like CTI does for some of their oddball case sizes, but I don't know if it would make sense for them to do so.

I feel the same way about casing designations as I do about tire & wheel sizes.

thanks I bought the 180 with the hp ends :)

In that case.... just buy the 100 case. You CAN'T use the 29mm RAS (reload adapter system) to get to 100... if you have the 180, (1) spacer will let you use 29/120 reloads, and (2) spacers will let you use 29/60 reloads.

Your 29/100 will need the 29/100 case. (If you get it with ends, you can load up more motors... 😆)

I brought this item up on the Aerotech open thread a while back... all it would take is a one inch spacer to put a 29/100 reload into the RMS 29/120 casing (a 1 inch spacer could adapt a 29/60 reload into the 29/100 case). They apparently dont move enouh 29/100 or 29/60 loads to justify production...

The G104 is a fun motor, good for those heavy 29mm birds on small fields, when an F52 isn't quite enough, but a 120 N-S G would send it too high.
