If you are looking to step up into real CAD, I'd like you to consider a little horse trading. I have a fully legitimate (in the original jewel case) copy of AutoCAD LT97.
This is not a rocketry CAD package, it is Architectural, Mechanical, etc. It will do 3D, however will not do solids real well. To do Solids you would have to do what I did and drop $3K on a copy of AutoCAD itself.
However if you want to design things like launch pads, Gardens, what have you.
One thing, AutoCAD is a professional tool and has a rather steep learning curve.
