I'm scaling up a rocket that I'm adding a payload section to. How do I divide up the main motor tube in OpenRocket? Adding a coupler and bulkheads after that should be pretty straightforward.

Click on the nisecone and then add a body tube. Itll insert between the nise and booster tube. Just set the payload tube length to what you desired, and the booster tube to the remainder

To split a tube I would copy it then edit the length of both. If the have child parts the you’ll need to delete these off one of the copies.

After you've done that, I recommend that you add your "Mass Object" to the body tube or transition that the object is held in. I used to not include those, but in future sims and updates, it will be with a zero mass and the end user can update the mass as needed
