Add TTW tabs to regular fins?

I've got 2 sets of 4 fins (aft & ~ mid fins) for a rocket rebuild. The initial rocket had them surface-mounted...I want add plywood tabs to make 'em thru the wall.

Anyone else done this (with success)? It'll fly with F & G motors.

Which rocket you working on?

For F's and G's you can use surface mount without much difficulty.

However, to answer your question - yes, you can add additional wood (basswood is fine) to my your fins TTW.
