is the tape on these things strong enough? or should i just use some apoxe? the diameter of the tube is way past there "suggested" one...

I never trusted the tape. All mine are epoxied on.

I dunno... at 2 bucks or so for a pack I'd just buy a pack to fit your diameter. AND i would use epoxy.

I also agree that you should buy the correct size for the diameter of your rocket. I used the tape and ran a bead of CA around the edges and have never had a problem.
