Hi, are these still available? I’m looking for the 1:35 mercury red stone n upgraded fins, plastic? For 60th anniversary flight. Convert to 24mm or just use 18mm D? I never used these, are they difficult to apply?

The fantastic John Pursley, whom was the man making those skins, recently passed away. So I don't believe the skins will be available again.

Boyce Aerospace has the 1/35 fin can:

Just shorten the main tube a few inches and glue it on.
And Stickershock 23 has the vinyl:

I've flown the Estes 2" MR on a C6 motor and it is a straight, fairly high exciting flight.
I imagine the Qjet D would go quite a bit higher.
And the AT 18 mm D motors.
Your call on the 24mm conversion.
Depends on the size of your flying field.

PS also try searching Thingiverse and Shapeways for the MR fins.
You would need access to a 3D printer to print any files downloaded from Thingiverse.
Aerobotix at Shapeways might have the 1/35 fins or fin can.
Try a search there.
