Eggtimer Rocketry is proud to announce the Eggtimer Voice Module, an add-on for the Eggfinder LCD receiver. It adds a spoken voice (“Eggbot”) to the output of your Eggfinder LCD receiver. It’s compatible with all versions of the Eggfinder LCD receiver board. It’s specially sized to fit into the new Black Aero V3 case (see the picture below), however it will fit into just about any case that you may be using with your Eggfinder LCD receiver. It comes with a standard 3.5mm jack for use with earbuds, or you can attach a cable to it and plug it into your club’s PA system, an external speaker, or your car stereo.
If you have an Eggfinder GPS transmitter, it will speak your rocket’s compass position and distance when you’re in the Compass screen. This is great for keeping an eye on your rocket during flight, it tells you which way it’s drifting and how far. If you’re in the Navigation screen, it will speak the distance to your rocket and the number of degrees left or right that you need to go. It makes recoveries much easier and potentially safer… you can keep your eye on where you’re going instead of having to look down at the screen all the time.
If you’re using your Eggfinder LCD receiver with the Eggtimer Telemetry System, it will speak your real-time altitude at programmable intervals, plus apogee, deployment events, and ready/not-ready for your altimeter (some of these are dependent on the altimeter and version). If you have an Eggtimer TRS, you get the best of both worlds… you get the altimeter telemetry plus the GPS stuff.
The Eggtimer Voice Module will be available in early November, boards are on the way. The price for the kit will be $20, however we’re going to be discounting it to $16 until the end of our Holiday Sale… but more on that later.
As always, thanks for all of your support!
