I've been noticing that many people (including myself) are confused or just plain don't have the basic legal or at least NAR/TRA information we need in this sport, especially if we are pursuing mid/high power. I think TRF members might benifit from having a seperate "legal" area to post questions and give answers in "to the best of our knowledge". Not actuall legal advice of course, just discussion.
What do you think?

The Rocketry Forum has a strict "no politics" rule and it's been our general experience that discussions on issues of the ATFE and LEUPs inevitably degenerate into political debates, and heated ones at that.

A good place to go without geting a political slant on your information is:

http://www.info-central.org/index.cgi?regulation

Some of the information is slightly outdated, but it is a good place to get up to speed on the facts.

If you don't mind an agenda and a definite slant (towards our side) on your news and info on the situation, feel free to check out:

http://www.space-rockets.com/arsanews

Some very good info there as well, but, on occasion, you have to weed out the slant to see what the facts actually say.

The other problem is that when things get "written" they tend to be regarded as gospel and instead of added clarification usually create more confusion and ambiguity.

Plus anything with the word "legal" in it scares me because of liability issues. :)

OK, I guess I'll just consider that idea pollitically incorrect.
