Hang them from the Yard Arm… Tomorrow is Talk Like A Pirate Day”…Somebody "cough, cough" forgot to arm the altimeter.
Ouch. A convincing example for a checklist...Somebody "cough, cough" forgot to arm the altimeter.

It was made that same night!Ouch. A convincing example for a checklist...
Did you use the motor ejection charge for back up?It was made that same night!
Anyone flying something that large without redundant means of getting the parachute out should be flogged.Somebody "cough, cough" forgot to arm the altimeter.
Steady on old chap.Anyone flying something that large without redundant means of getting the parachute out should be flogged.

You are going to need a time machine.Wow, I hope I am there when you make your "first mistake"
You are going to need a time machine.
I have never flown anything that large with just a single altimeter to get the parachute out.Did you enjoy your flogging?
I could have had 8 altimeters and it wouldn't have mattered. If you forget to turn them on, you will crash.I have never flown anything that large with just a single altimeter to get the parachute out.
How large do you "require" 2?I have never flown anything that large with just a single altimeter to get the parachute out.
Now that is a sled I would like to see.I could have had 8 altimeters and it wouldn't have mattered. If you forget to turn them on, you will crash.
Just curious, so you are saying you don't have a backup on your motor deploy rockets?Anyone flying something that large without redundant means of getting the parachute out should be flogged.
It is a 7.5" rocket so I could fit them in there. Now that is a sled I would like to see.
Although this is not really a sled.It is a 7.5" rocket so I could fit them in there.
It says on the clip - a J430 which is a white thunder. What motor did you use?
Seemed to angle when it was well clear of the rail. Winds aloft maybe? A 54mm 2G white thunder packs a punch.I'd say you need a more powerful motor for higher rail velocity. That flight angled off the pad pretty severely.
Rebuilt and is 10" longer now.

Looped it first. Then hooked to bulkhead after the repairDid you loop the cord through the cone at first, and then cut the nosecone and glue in the bulkhead when you were repairing it? Or did you have the bulkhead in the cone all along?
I had to add the bulkhead as the bottom of the nosecone needed to be removed.Looped it first. Then hooked to bulkhead after the repair

Mine works just fine. The aeropack would be a great way to go though.I imagine that cone got banged up. That was a hard hit. Im about to start building mine. Real nice kit! Not sure about the wood/cardboard motor adapter from 75 to 54mm. Might just grab the aeropack.
