Getting my loads ready for Airfest. First time using the Reload Adapter System...

Loading a K700 into a 2800 case, so uses the small spacer.

Questions are:

1) From what I can tell there is no FWD 1/8" o-ring used... Just the RAS forward closure up against the spacer / floating closure assembly, correct?

2) I favored tightening down the forward closure all the way but the aft closure won't tighten enough to bottom out. There is a gap. Instructions say " it is normal if a slight Gap remains between the closure and the case after tightening in the grains rattle slightly inside the liner"... However how much gap is considered slight?

Here's what I've got:

Tighten the fwd closure all the way. Ok to have a thread or so showing on the aft closure.

Is the front end of your motor assembled with the seal disk + seal disk o-ring, then forward o-ring, then floating forward closure, then spacer and then the forward RAS closure/ring? I use the RAS a lot and have yet to come across a 54mm reload that doesn't have a forward o-ring between the forward seal disk and the floating forward closure.

I didnt want to open a new K700 I have but the aerotech instructions indicate both forward and rear o-rings which is what I would expect. It just goes between the seal disk and floating forward closure just like it would go between the seal disk and regular forward closure.

Yeah, pretty sure you are missing an o-ring.

I also had a 54mm reload where the phenolic liner was the incorrect length and the assembly would not go together correctly.

Perfect. Thank you, I wasn’t 100% sure where that fwd o-ring went. The printed instructions that come with the RAS leave a little to be desired. Being able to zoom in on the digital made it clear to me. So I’ve got that fixed #1 on my questions.

Now about that gap….

That gap should be fine. They started cutting the liners slightly longer. Looks between 1/16 and 1/8?
