40th Anniversary Launch

June 1964, I bought and launched my first model, an Astron Sky Hook. It looked just like this Semroc Sky Hook clone.

June 2004, 40 years after the first one, this Sky Hook takes to the sky at the CATO launch.

pretty neat to think about all ... that time ... wow.

(in June 1964 I was 8 months old so I would have rolled over and crushed it and then drooled on it.)

very cool My first rocket was the sky hook as well, back in 1963....

I have the Semroc clone as well and hope to get it built this winter, only I won't have such a significant anniversary to launch it on (unless I wait till 2013...)
