3X Scrambler

We've been hard at work tring to get the Scrambler ready. We finally have everything cut and and ready for final assembly. Right now it stands 72" tall and weighs in just under 10lbs without motor. It should be ready for the Big launch in April down in Three Oaks. I'll post more pictures as we get closer.

Not really sure on the motor yet. It all depends on what the final weight is. At first I was thinking about flying on a I-350, but may end up with a small "J". It has a 54 mount, so we have a wide range of options available. Wind could also be a factor and I really don't want to run the risk of loosing this one. You can also see the 1.6X scrambler (left of the 3X) we built last month and it flew great on a G-80. Also, thats the original on the left.

motor size it has a 54 mount .probably j something ,it has dual deploy electronics . sandman i will get an ostrich egg ,but its close to easter so colored eggs for now

With the Big launch gettting closer at Three Oaks on the 23-25 of this month, We still have a lot of work to get done. Getting ready to glass the transition and nose and still have to get the paint work done. Looks like it may be close, but should be able to make it by the deadline. Hope to meet some of you in a couple of weeks.
