The chutes use to be used for flares when they would shoot them in the air. Apparently companies like AEROCON purchases large qualities of these chutes and sell them fairly cheap $15, but the problem you have is after awhile the shroud lines end up breaking because they are pretty fray when you buy them due to the "de-milling" process. Also they don't have an attachment point. I took one and had new shroud lines sewn on along with a 1000lb swivel so you can connect it to a quick link. Also gathered the new lines to form a bridle using heat shrink. The estimated CD on one of these is around 1.5. Basically it's as good as a new chute.Stupid question- is a flare chute a chute for flares, or something the chute does when it inflates?![]()
