With equal area and geometrically similar plan forms, there is more total length of fillets. (The linear dimension is decreased by sqrt(3/4) but the number of filets is increased by 4/3, so the total of filet lengths is increased by sqrt(4/3) which is about 15%. If there are fin tabs involved, their depth does not change, so if their length is reduced along with the root cord (not a certainty) then their total area (and thus mass) would be increased by 15% as well.
