29mm Aft closure size

I picked up another Aerotech 29mm aft closure. But the new gold one has a way larger nozzle hole. The black closure seats against the nozzle and the o-ring. And the new gold one will only push on the o-ring. Is this normal and both work the same?

They both work the same. The larger opening is for the 29/360 case, those motors use a slightly larger nozzle than the other motors. You can use the larger closure for the smaller nozzles, no problem.

If it bothers you, I have a small bore one that I'd trade you for... I have a 29/360 case that needs a larger bore aft closure. Yes it is gold, too.
