I hope most of the people on this group followed the WSMClive.com site run by Chris Taylor, during the World Space Modeling Championships in Slovakia a month ago.

Sorry to "spoil" it for those who didn't see it before, but I'll briefly mention two highlights for the U.S. team, in chronological order.

On Wednesday Sep 5th, the US Senior S8E/P (R/C Rocket Glide) Team won a bronze medal. The team members were Matthew Berk, Kevin Johnson, and myself.
The next day, in cold and very high winds, the Junior S8D (D R/C Rocket Glide) Team came in 4th, missing bronze by 7 seconds. The members were Alyssa Stenberg (just turned 13), Zack Stenberg ( age 8), and Brendan O'Bryan ( age 10). Brendan is the son of Dave O'Bryan who flew on the US Team in the 1990's and in 2000 and 2002, before returning this year. One member of the Junior team managed to win a bronze medal. If you do not already know, you need to see WSMClive and/or the video to find out who.
I've made up two videos about the Junior and Senior Rocket Glide Teams (S8D and S8E/P), and also posted two versions of some dancing at the banquet (starring in part, Robert Alway)
