Too much of a gap in the black decal line without the "II", so the II gets my vote.

Is it just me, or does the II look like the "pause" button on an MP3 Player?

Also looks like the Centauri decal got stuck too close to the P.

But this is speaking as a guy that usually doesn't paint his rockets at all.......

Your preference is the one that matters. I think the width of each of the II letters should match the width of the vertical strokes in the PAYLOADER letters themselves so it appears that the typeface matches. Those in the picture look like the II letters are bolder or wider than the other letters.

They do have the II in the old catalogs and facecards, but did any of the decal sheets actually have the II on them? There may be different versions, not sure.

Interesting use of different type faces in the old catalogs, but early versions of Chuter 2, Snipe Hunter, and Payloader II, did any of them actually have a decal with their name on them? And, are they not recognizable enough that they need no introduction?

(SEMROC has the Snipe Hunter name on the decal borrowing from the 1968 typeface, but did the Centuri kit ever have the name on the decal sheet?)

The original payloader that had different shaped fins has lower case letters where as the payloader
2 had all upper case letters.

I used the text from paint but to fix the thickness of the 2 vertical lines I may'
copy and paste two of the "I" from the payloader lettering
