Recently just finished a couple of interceptors and I am having a hard time deciding which one I like better. So I figured I would put it to a vote.

I'm 99% on the blue one, but I think I would have liked orange vs pink on the accents. Either way, both are awesome. Great work!!!

Sandy.

Was very much debated on, in the end my wife convinced me to do something different so pink they went.

Then you made the right call for sure! I tend to err on the side of silver and gold, so if I were left to my own devices, I would have probably painted them silver and it would have looked ok at best. I think the best designers would do orange or pink or green. Its a different way of thinking than I have, but when the results are out there, it is better than my version for sure. Your wife is wise in the arts and you were wise to ask!

Sandy.

Both are very nice. Not entirely sure about the pink features. I like the clean look of the white one but I have a few rockets like them in my fleet, so I may be biased.

Our opinion doesn't matter much anyway :) .

I like them both, but I'm partial to the white version. The Estes model was originally designed to look like a "future" (i.e. 1980s) evolution of the F-102 and F-106 interceptors. Unlike other fighters at the time that were silver (and modern fighters that are gray with subdued markings) the F-106 was painted white or light gray with "U.S. AIR FORCE" in big bold letters on the sides of the fuselage. The F-106 wasn't designed to sneak up undetected at low altitudes, it was designed to intercept high-altitude Soviet bombers. So it's color scheme was bold.

I like both too, but I think if I had to pick one it would be the white just because...

The blue reminds me of the 1950s Navy scheme... Imagine trying to get one of those rascals down on a carrier deck!

Great work on both!!

The Wife here! I wanted Bright Green! JTG said NO!:) Enough votes and maybe we can make him let me do it! (added feature on the Pink(I hate Pink) no one has noticed... zoom in)

You should always go with what the wifey says..........:D I like the blue accent a lot.

Most of you probably remember the black wraps that John Pursley did. Sure wish I had gotten one of those. Those were way cool looking.

I like both as well, except for the pink....redo that Red on the blue one.... Then scale it up bigger next time!!!

Can't wait for the new scaled up Orbital Transport coming soon to a theater near you! I think Summer, BT-55 sized...
