August 1, 2012 will be the first Annual National Eagle Scout Day
The National Council of the Boy Scouts of America has established that August 1, 2012 will be the first Annual- “National Eagle Scout Day”!

All living Eagle Scouts are encouraged to wear their Eagle Badge this day at work, school or play. Be proud! Stand up and be counted as an Eagle Scout!

On August 1- spread the word about all the good that Scouting does to teach young people Duty to God, Country and Family!

Encourage those who have Scout age children to enroll them in Scouting
Encourage those who have time—to volunteer to work with youth in Scouting
If someone cannot give of their time or talent— always seek Treasure!

Eagle Scouts are trained in leadership, they understand and demonstrate community service! We are proud of all Scouting Alumni. 100 years ago in the month of August- the first Eagle Scout Badge was earned and awarded to Arthur Eldred. Since then, over 2 million boys have earned this award!
