Ooh. This is a decent price to test. I might grab one of these alignment tools and test it out on a 12" Quickrete tube.

Has anyone given this tool a try for putting together large diameter HPR rockets? I love how it includes a protractor stamped on to the ring. I'm thinking get two of them and align the markings on a straight line on the airframe to make sure fins are really parallel to the body.

From the description:

Plumbatube a Concrete Pier 12" Alignment Tool-fits Most 12" Diameter Tubes by Plumbatube
- Simple fool proof installation of concrete forms saves labor on setup
- Most accurate way to install Sonotubes, no guess work
- Set up all your tubular forms and pour your concrete at one time
- Use over and over HD polyurthane construction
- This is also a protractor with 360 degrees markings, set up at any angle

(fantasizing about a large diameter L3 :p )
